A seemingly normal photograph of the four photogenic hosts of the Today Show become shapes and circles and arrows pointing out people's flaws that must be corrected in Photoshop before its published. Whiter teeth, longer hair, bigger eyes, slimmer waist and more.
This viewpoint obviously doesn't apply to all photographers, different fields have different demands but it does speak to the culture we live in where a real photo isn't perfect until it's fake.
